Frequently Asked Questions
COI Play FAQ
Less packaging. More creativity.
Designed for real life - not for waste.
What makes COI Play different from other craft kits?
Less packaging. More creativity.
COI Play is designed around a simple idea: make creativity easier to enjoy without creating unnecessary waste.
Our products are compact by design, helping save space at home, reduce shipping volume, and lower the carbon footprint that comes with oversized packaging. We avoid over-packaging whenever possible and prioritize natural, reusable, or more sustainable materials when they make sense for the product.
From pencil-case packaging to picnic-style baskets that become part of the creative experience, we design every detail to be useful, not disposable.
Artist-led product design, refined by the COI Play creative team for children's coloring and print production.
High content density - more creative elements inside one box.
Is this suitable for beginners or people with no art experience?
Yes. COI Play is designed for kids and adults with zero experience. No preparation is needed - just open the box and start creating.
Is this just for kids?
Not at all. Many adults use COI Play as a relaxing, creative activity - a simple way to unwind while still making something meaningful.
Can this be used for group activities or parties?
Yes. Our party kits are designed for 8-12 people, with enough tools and materials for everyone.
8-person set: $49.99.
12-person set: $59.99.
Is this a one-time activity?
No. Many tools and materials are reusable, and you can continue creating beyond one session.
What does COI stand for?
COI stands for Creative, Original, and Intentional - the values behind everything we design.
What should I buy if I want a simple option?
COI Play is not just one $29.99 kit. Our products range from $5.99 art supplies and watercolor coloring books to $19.99 starter craft kits, $29.99 value bookmark craft kits, and $49.99-$59.99 party sets.
- Trying COI Play for the first time or buying for one child: start with a $19.99 craft kit or a watercolor coloring book.
- One person who will use it often: choose a $29.99 Bookmark Craft Kit with 52 coloring bookmarks and watercolor paint blocks included on the paper.
- Three kids or a family activity: the $29.99 value kit is usually the best fit.
- Groups of around eight or more people: choose a party set, and add extra brushes if the group needs more tools at the same time.
Our watercolor coloring books include paint blocks printed directly on the paper, so they are not just plain books. The built-in color blocks help reduce extra plastic paint trays and unnecessary packaging.
Where can I buy COI Play products?
COI Play is available online through selected marketplaces and partner stores.
Offline retail is expanding and is expected to launch in Books-A-Million around mid-July.
Is COI Play available in other countries?
We are currently expanding internationally and working with new distribution partners. More regions will be available soon.
Is this like paint-with-water or reveal-coloring kits?
It's different. Paint-with-water and reveal-coloring kits use water-activated color or special coated paper, and the color often fades or only appears on that paper. COI Play uses real watercolor printed right on the page - it doesn't need special paper, doesn't fade, and your finished art is a permanent keepsake. See a full side-by-side comparison →
Do I need special paper or refills?
Our watercolor coloring books include paint blocks printed directly on the paper, so you do not need a separate plastic paint tray for the included pages. Extra brushes, palettes, cups, and other supplies are available on our website when you need more. See how paint-on-paper works →
How is COI PLAY artwork created?
Our artwork is developed through a human-led creative process. The COI Play team creates the characters, concepts, compositions, and visual direction, then digitally illustrates, cleans, refines, colors, and prepares each design for print so the lines are clear, consistent, and easy for children to color.
